Based on the flavour of the sweet red apple, MONIN Apple syrup was created to be used in milk-based drinks as it is not acidic and does not make the milk curdle. One of the most popular and widely cultivated fruits in the world, the apple has been a symbol of love, beauty and abundance since ancient times, when ‘apple’ was the generic term for fruit.  It is also depicted as a mystical or ‘forbidden’ fruit in many religions.Eaten raw, the apple is a versatile fruit which can also be consumed as juice, apple cider, toffee apples, baked or stewed in desserts, cooked in savoury dishes, or puréed to make apple sauce.Dream up delicious apple pudding cocktails and comforting toffee apple flavour coffees by combining Apple syrup with MONIN Caramel sauce.

The berries grow on shrubs on peaty moors and highlands such as the French Alps. They have a balanced sweet flavour with some tartness, the cultivated type having a slightly less intense flavour than the wild variety. Eaten raw with cereals and yogurt, they are also used to make jelly, jam, coulis, pies, muffins and cheesecake. • Origin Cherry Blossom is the symbol of traditional Japanese values - transitory beauty, purity and simplicity. With MONIN’s newest flavour, Cherry Blossom syrup, you have the opportunity to celebrate the arrival of spring, one of the most important Japanese events. The cherry blossom season is relatively short as the blossoms are falling from the trees after the blooming peak which shows the brevity of the human life and of its beauty, too. You can experience the intensity of this new flavour as they do in Japan, where the Cherry Blossom is memorable due to the famous spring event O-Hanami, a friendly and traditional gathering under the cherry blossom trees to appreciate the sight of the flowers.Colour Subtle light pink colour.Tasting notes Delicate floral perfume.Beverage Innovation Director's Tip To keep the original taste, don't mix it with too many ingredients. I would recommend using Cherry Blossom in Martini drinks (vodka or gin) with a touch of lemon which enhances its delicate flavour. • Origin One of Olivier Monin’s personal favourites, MONIN Macadamia syrup was created to fulfil the demand for a roasted buttery nut flavour. Originating from Australia, the macadamia nut is named after the scientist Dr John McAdam, who first described it, but it is also known as the ‘Queensland nut’, ‘bush nut’ and ‘Queen of nuts’, among others. Of course, the Aboriginals had already discovered the fine taste of the macadamia thousands of years before Europeans settled there. Considered by some as ‘the nut lover’s nut’, macadamias are used in puddings, cakes and biscuits as well as savoury dishes. They go particularly well with white chocolate.Try mixing MONIN Macadamia syrup with MONIN Chocolate sauce to create an indulgent nutty chocolate latte.Colour Amber.Tasting notes Long-lasting roasted nuts smell and taste, French pralines aftertaste.Beverage Innovation Directors tips MONIN Macadamia Nut syrup fits very well with MONIN Chocolate sauce. Flavoured with the dry peel of the green oranges, which are descended from Valencia oranges, from the West Indian Island of Curaçao, this liqueur embodies this tropical island paradise with its beaches and coral reefs. • Origin Developed to offer a non-alcoholic version of rum-based drinks, MONIN Caribbean bottles a taste of the favourite tipple of pirates, buccaneers and British Royal Navy sailors, who still have a tot of rum presented on special occasions. A distilled alcoholic beverage made from sugarcane by-products such as molasses, rum is largely produced in the Caribbean and Latin America. Thought to be derived from the words ‘rumbullion’ and ‘rumbustion’, which were slang terms for ‘tumult’ or ‘uproar’, they bring to mind rum’s colourful associations with fractious men fighting in island tippling houses. Other names for rum include ‘Nelson’s blood’, ‘kill-devil’, ‘demon water’, ‘pirate’s drink’, ‘navy neaters’ and ‘Barbados water’! Today rum is used to flavour cakes, ice cream and fruits, which are macerated in rum. The nose of Caribbean rum aged in oak barrels and the sweet rum taste with notes of fruit of MONIN Caribbean syrup will create ‘rumbustious’ coffees, non-alcoholic cocktails and dessert drinksColour Bright amber.Tasting notes Nose of Caribbean rum aged in oak barrel; sweet rum taste with notes of fruits and vanilla.Beverage Innovation Directors tips The blend hints of island spices with a smooth texture stands out of the flavour and leads to an overwhelming spiced honey flavour that gently guides you to the creamy, cake frosting finish. “Caribbean” will give you the opportunity to convert all your rum-based alcoholic cocktails to their non alcoholic versions without even losing the rum aroma.Applications

  • Origin Developed as one of the ‘virgin flavour’ range, MONIN Irish syrup has a flavour profile which is similar to Irish cream, a cream liqueur based on whiskey, cream and coffee, for use in non-alcoholic after-dinner drinks. Irish coffee is a popular after-dinner drink consisting of hot coffee, sugar and whisky topped with thick cream, through which the coffee is drunk. The story goes that the first Irish coffee was created by Joe Sheridan, head chef at Foynes, County Limerick. He created coffee for a group of American tourists who had just arrived in Ireland on a miserable winter night and added the whiskey to warm them up. When they enquired what it was, Joe Sheridan said it was ‘Irish coffee’.Perfect for creating non-alcoholic Irish coffees, speciality coffees, dessert cocktails and smoothies, MONIN Irish syrup will add the luck of Irish to your drinks!Colour Brown with amber glints.Tasting notes Nose: Buttery with hints of roasted coffee Attack: Creamy with strong roasted coffee Length in Mouth: Mocha with toffee notesBeverage Innovation Directors tips With its subtle combination of flavours, MONIN Irish syrup allows you to create tons of coffee based recipes or even dairy preparations.
